Which of these Stuart Kellys is McShandy? There’s an easy way to find out…

Is it him?

If, for some unlikely and unfeasible reason that I simply can’t fathom, you’d like to see McShandy in his non-cyber form, he will be appearing at the following times and places.

24th June – guest speaker at the Edinburgh Sir Walter Scott Club

25th June – the West Port Book Festival, 5 p.m., Peter Bell Books on Scott-land and collective nouns

26th June – the Dundee Book Festival, 12 noon, Dalhousie Building, University of Dundee

8th July – opening plenary session of the Stirling Robert Louis Stevenson conference

13th July – Abbotsford launch of Scott-land

15th July – in conversation with Andrew Crumey (the Christopher Ecclestone to my David Tennant) at Abbotsford, 7 o’clock. £5, with a glass of wine.

Is this him?

15th August – Edinburgh International Book Festival, 20.30, Scottish Power Studio Theatre. I’ll also be there chairing events as part of the Future of Fiction strand I’ve selected: with, among others, Zadie Smith, Eli Horowitz of McSweeney’s, David Shields, Ken Macleod, Adam Roberts, Lydia Davis, Miguel Syjuco, Alberto Manguel, Igor Stiks – for the Dalkey Archive Best European Fiction 2010 event – Tom McCarthy and Writers’ Bloc. Check their website for details.
